Ronan Parke Odds On In Britains Got Talent Betting
It is that time of year again with Britains Got Talent now at the live stage and there is only one contestant on every one’s mind at the moment ahead of the final on Saturday, and that is 12 year-old singing sensation Ronan Parke. The young singer wowed the judges and the bookmakers alike during the audition stage and he did exactly the same in the live Semi-Final to book his place in the Grand Final on Saturday night. Parke was clearly the star attraction of the first live Semi-Final and Paddy Power have slashed his price all the way into 4/7 to win the whole competition and at this stage he is the one to beat.
The British public love a young singer and Parke could be a boy to watch over the next few years with Simon Cowell no doubt waiting in the wings ready to snap him up to a big money record deal over the next few weeks. Punters wanting to find some value elsewhere in the Outright Winner market might want to look closely at Razy Gogonea who impressed the judges during his audition recently. The Romanian body popper is full of talent and punters can get a price of 5/1 with Paddy Power about him going all the way and winning the competition, dancers are always popular and he could yet pull it out of the bag.
Outside of the major contenders there are one or two who may have a chance if their act translates well to a live stage and the exciting Circus of Horrors could be one that falls into that category. They were exciting and unique during their audition and at the moment their price of 25/1 with Paddy Power could prove tempting in the outright winner market. At the moment though it looks as though Ronan Parke has the competition in the bag and any other result will be a big surprise for both the bookmakers and the viewing public.

Pippa Middleton the early favourite to be crowned FHM’s Sexiest Woman in 2012
Pippa Middleton, who shot to fame in April at the Royal Wedding, has been installed as the bookmakers favourite to win FHM’s Sexiest Woman in the World award in 2012, with odds of 13/8 at Paddy Power. The 27-year-old instantly become a global phenomenon after she wowed the world in her stunning bridesmaid dress. As a result she is also the odds on favourite at 1/7 with Paddy Power to win the prestigious Rear of the Year award, a title we are sure she secretly craves. Next year’s FHM list has a distinctively royal feel to it, with Pippa’s sister Kate, or the ‘Duchess of Cambridge’ as she is now known, at 10/1 and Prince Harry’s on-and-off girlfriend Chelsy Davy at 40/1.
After narrowly missing out on the award this year, finishing second and third respectively, Pop babes Katy Perry and Rihanna are both available at 6/1 to clinch it in 2012. The woman who beat the Americans to this year’s accolade was 24-year-old Rosie Huntingdon Whiteley, a Victoria Secret model and Megan Fox’s replacement in the upcoming Transformers movie. The British scorcher has been given odds of 8/1 to retain her title.
Cheryl Cole, who was going for the hat-trick this year after winning in 2008 and 2009, will be hoping to bounce back from her ‘blip’ this year (she finished way down in 12th) and is 8/1 to do so. The Saturday’s stunner Frankie Sandford is also in the mix at 16/1. Elsewhere fellow British babes Kelly Brook and Emma Watson are priced at 33/1, while pop extrovert Lady Gaga is an outsider at 200/1 with Paddy Power.

Alberto Contador Odds On In Giro d’Italia Betting
This weekend sees Cyclings first Grand tour start with the Giro d’Italia taking centre stage and it promises to be three weeks of gruelling and exciting action both on the mountains and in the latest betting market. Alberto Contandor has won all three Grand Tours during his career and the Spaniard is the odds-on favourite to claim his second Giro win with Victor Chandler. Contador has been in the headlines for the wrong reasons lately, but he is free to ride at the moment and VC Bet are sure he is the man to beat once again and price him up accordingly at a short looking 7/10 to win the Giro.
Contador is with a new team this season and his new Saxo Bank team mates will be doing everything they can to support their team leader who will hoping to hold off a strong challenge from a number of riders in the peloton. One rider who may offer a little bit of value to punters is Italian Vincenzo Nibali who after winning the Vuelta a Espana last season will come to his home tour full of confidence. Nibali rides for the Liquigas Italian team who will be going all out to support their team leader and Nibali can be backed at a nice looking 9/2 with VC Bet to claim the overall Pink Jersey at the end of the Giro this month.
As well as the top two in the betting there are one or two other contenders that punters might want to consider and they include the big Russian Denis Menchov who himself is a former Giro winner having picked up the overall classification in 2009. Menchov will be hoping that Contador is not at his best for the race with the Tour De France fast approaching and with that Menchov can be backed at 12/1 with VC Bet to claim the overall leaders jersey at the end of the month. Much of the outcome of the 2011 Giro will depend on the form and fitness of hot favourite Alberto Contador, if he arrives at 100% fitness and focus then he will be tough to beat but any cracks in his armour and it should be a classic race.

Slovakian Duo Expecting Big TWiiNS
Slovakia have high hopes that their Eurovision Song Contest act TWiiNS (identical twin sisters Veronika and Daniela Nízlová) will make a big impact in the competition this year. The two Slovakian stunners will be performing their ballad “I’m Still Alive” – a song about a difficult recovery from a tough break-up – which they hope will entice people into voting for them.
The sisters have been performing together since childhood and have previously released four successful albums in Slovakia. They are probably best known internationally for their single ‘Boys, Boys, Boys’ which had some minor success. The sisters also appeared in the 2008 Eurovision when they were backing singers for Czech singer Tereza Kerndlova, which no doubt provided them with some valuable experience.
Slovakia have a dreadful record in the Eurovision Song Contest, having never finished higher than 18th. TWiiNS will be hoping to break this trend and Paddy Power have the duo available at 125/1 to win the competition. France are currently the favourites for success at 11/4, whilst the UK’s act, boy band Blue, are second in the running at 6/1, closely followed by Estonia at 7/1.
TWiiNS – I’m Still Alive
The 2011 Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Dusseldorf (Germany) with the dates for the two semi-finals on 10th and 12th May, and the final planned for the 14th May.

Nadal Favourite In Rome Despite Madrid Defeat
The clay maestro Rafael Nadal is the favourite to win the ATP Tour Rome Masters despite losing to Novak Djokovic in the Madrid Open final on Sunday in straight sets. The Serbian’s impressive 7-5 6-4 win took his 2011 undefeated streak to 32 matches whilst simultaneously ending Nadal’s record of 37 consecutive wins on clay. At 2/1 with Stan James you won’t get much better odds for Djokovic to record his fourth ATP Masters Series win of the year.
Rafa’s confidence would have taken some battering following his defeat to Djokovic, and the Spaniard faces a tough draw in Rome with the likes of Roger Federer, David Ferrer, Tomas Berdych and Thomaz Bellucci in his side of the draw. He faces a possible semi-final clash with Federer, whom he beat in three sets last week. Nadal also has a 10-1 record against Federer on clay and with the Swiss struggling for form on the surface this year you would count it as a big upset for him to overcome Nadal and reach the final. Federer can nonetheless never be ruled out, and Stan James have priced him at 11/1 to win his first Masters tournament of the year.
After disappointing in Madrid, Andy Murray will be determined to bounce back and put in an impressive performance in Rome ahead of the French Open later this month. You can back the Scot with Stan James at 25/1. Elsewhere David Ferrer looks good value at 18/1, whilst Thomas Berdych, who took a set of Djokovic in the semi-finals last week, is priced at 50/1. Alternatively Gael Monfils, who bizarrely had to retire last week after an allergic reaction to cheese, has long odds of 80/1.

Victor Chandler Betting Specials Man Utd v Chelsea
The title decider we have all been waiting for will explode into life on Sunday 8th May at 4.10pm live on Sky Sports. The match promises to be an absolute cracker with two sides going all out to gain the advantage in what has been a pulsating title race. As part of the occasion Victor Chandler have prepared an assortment of betting specials for you to get involved in. For starters if Wayne Rooney or Didier Drogba score the last goal of the match, Victor Chandler will refund all losing First Goalscorer, Correct Score and Double Result (Half-Time/Full-Time) bets as a Free Bet up to £50.
The fierce rivals have met four times already this season – Champions League, Premier League and Community Shield – with United leading the head-to-head 3-1. Sir Alex Ferguson’s men recently outclassed Chelsea over two-legs in the Champions League quarter-finals and they have been in imperious form at Old Trafford this season, dropping only two points. However, Chelsea were the last visiting team to win at the Theatre of Dreams back in April 2010, with goals from Joe Cole and Didier Drogba giving them a 2-1 win, and Victor Chandler have Chelsea at 19/2 to win by the same scoreline this time round. Drogba has been a pivotal part of Chelsea’s late title charge and the Ivory Coast international is priced at 13/2 to score the winner on Sunday.
If there is a time for Fernando Torres to shine then surely it is now. The Spaniard’s confidence levels have soared since he netted his first goal for the club against West Ham just over a week ago and he is 13/2 to open the scoring at Old Trafford. Ferguson rested the majority of his top players on Wednesday against Schalke 04 so the likes of Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez and Ryan Giggs will be fresh and raring to go. Rooney and Hernandez have both scored twice against Chelsea this season and you wouldn’t bet against them finding the back of the net yet again this weekend. Both strikers are 19/4 apiece to open the scoring.
United are well known for coming back from the dead and scoring late goals and they can be found at 28/1 to win the match after falling behind at half-time. It is going to be a close encounter and a draw looks to be the way to go at 23/10. If one side is to edge if you feel United, with home advantage, are the more likely and Victor Chandler have them available at 8/1 to clinch it 2-1.

Turkish Grand Prix Betting
Forumla One returns to our screens this Sunday after a three week absence. This time the drivers will be locking horns in Turkey at the Istanbul Racing Circuit. The Turkish Grand Prix is a great circuit for overtaking so expect lots of action throughout the 58 laps. Last year’s race was a dramatic affair that will best be remembered for the moment the two Red Bull drivers crashed into each other, handing a one-two to McLaren. The incident highlighted the heated relationship between Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber and sparked off a series of heated exchanges between the pair.
A few weeks ago at the China Grand Prix Lewis Hamilton broke Vettel’s 2011 winning streak with a fine win, and as the winner here in Turkey last year, Hamilton has got every chance of repeating that success and is priced at 3/1 to finish first on Sunday. Although, who would back against Vettel to return in style, with the bookies William Hill offering odds of 9/2 for the German to get pole position, fastest lap and win the race.
Mark Webber looked to be back to his best in China, finishing in a creditable third place despite starting way back in 18th on the grid. The Australian has been completely overshadowed by his Red Bull counterpart this season, but will be more than determined to spring an upset here, especially after what happened last year, and has odds of 5/1 to do so. Felipe Massa should not be overlooked considering he won three times in a row in Turkey between 2006-2008. The Brazilian will be the first to admit that he is not yet peaking this season, but at 25/1 to win he is definitely worth a punt.
Jenson Button is currently third in the F1 standings, despite only finishing in the top three once so fat in 2011. The Brit will be hungry for a win, which would see him close the gap between himself Hamilton and Vettel, and is available at 15/2 to race home in first. Nick Heidfeld and Vitaly Petrov have both made podium finishes this season and the drivers are available at 9/1 and 12/1 respectively to finish in the top three in Turkey.

World Domination Takes Epsom Derby Favouritism Following Frankel Withdrawal
Henry Cecil has all but confirmed that 2000 Guineas hero Frankel will swerve the Epsom Derby next month which means we now have a new favourite for the big race with World Domination now the one to beat according to the latest show of betting. Cecil will be looking to keep the great Frankel down the one mile route and much of that may have something to do with the fact that he also has the exciting World Domination in his yard, he like Frankel is Khalid Abdullah owned horse and he is thought to want to keep the pair of Classic horses apart if at all possible.
With Frankel now out of the betting for the Derby, Boylesports are placing World Domination as their 4/1 favourite for the race, this is despite the fact that the horse has made just one appearance on a race course. He made is debut on track at Newbury last month and duly scored for punters and Cecil to impress the bookmakers, he has long been thought of as a Derby horse over the winter and that run seemed to confirm his potential. At this stage though punters can find plenty of value through the market with plenty of Derby trials on the horizon in the build up to Epsom at the beginning of June.
Other potential Derby contenders at this stage include the likes of Native Khan who won the Craven Stakes last month, before following it up with a third place behind Frankel in the 2000 Guineas recently. Connections are expecting Native Khan to enjoy the extra trip of the Derby and he has plenty of experience for a young horse making his current price of 14/1 with Boylesports a nice looking price at this stage of the season. The Derby is of course the blue riband Classic of the season and with Frankel now out of the running it is looking a wide open betting heat with plenty of value on offer for punters at this stage of the flat season.

England Facing Tough Cricket World Cup Task Against Sri Lanka
England have been the stars of the Cricket World Cup so far with every match they have played going down to the wire, punters will remember they are the team that have already lost to minnows Ireland and Bangladesh as well as beating tournament favourites South Africa. With that in mind this weekends Quarter Final against Sri Lanka could well be another nail biter and Stan James are offering up some fascinating special markets for the match in Colombo with Andrew Strauss and his men facing an uphill task according to the latest betting.
Sri Lanka are as short as 1/2 to win with Stan James but there is some good value for punters in some more exciting betting markets. Jonathan Trott and Kumar Sangakarra have been in the runs all tournament and both are still in with a shout of claiming the top run scorer crown, and Stan James are offering a match bet between the two for the match on Saturday. Trott and Sangakarra can each be backed at 5/6 with Stan James and that is based on which of the two will score more runs in the match, Sangakarra has to be the more likely in this one with home crowd on his back.
Stan James also offer a fantastic Best Economy Market with punters looking to find the bowler who will concede the fewest runs, and there is no surprise to see the great Muttiah Muralitharan at the end of this one and he is priced at 7/2. The England alternative to Murali is of course Graeme Swann and he tends to keep things tight during his ten overs, making his price of 4/1 to be the most economical bowler an attractive one for punters.

Wladimir Klitschko early favourite for summer showdown
The fight the boxing world craves is due to happen on Saturday 25th June. The WBA Heavyweight Champion David Haye will take on the IBF and WBO Champion Wladimir Klitschko in one of the most anticipated heavyweight bouts in recent history.
The credibility of the heavyweight division has rapidly declined since the days of Lennox Lewis and Mike Tyson, with Haye’s almost comical third-round win against Audley Harrison last November and Vitali Klitschko’s recent first-round win over the Cuban Odlanier Solis reflecting the lack of competitiveness in the division. The unification contest between Haye and the younger Klitschko will hopefully restore some pride and generate some much needed excitement in the badly bruised heavyweight division.
At the time of writing Skybet have Klitschko as the slight favourite with odds of 4/7, whilst Haye is 11/8 to win and a draw 28/1. Both fighters have vowed to knock the other out with Klitschko again edging it at 4/1, with David Haye 6/1. Over the past two years Haye and the Klitschko brothers have been engaged in numerous verbal spars with nothing ever materialising. Providing Wladimir can recover from a stomach injury the fight will go ahead. Should he not then his older brother Vitali will most probably step in.

Twice Over can land 2011 Dubai World Cup
With a couple of really competitive National Hunt meetings at Stratford and Newbury and two AW meetings at Kempton and Lingfield, racing fans will have plenty of options this weekend. However the feature meeting is without doubt the Dubai World Cup at Meydan, which will see the Henry Cecil trained multiple group one winner, Twice Over make his attempt to win the world’s richest horse race. The card at Meydan is a cracker and will feature plenty of British and Irish interest, including a few rare Dubai entries from the Aidan O’Brien stable.
Meydan 1.15 – Al Quoz Sprint 5f
The meeting gets underway with a Group two sprint which should see the warm order favourite JJ The Jet Plane take the top prize. The seven year old looked back to his best a fortnight ago when winning the Finest Surprise Handicap over six furlongs on the turf on this track. Although his best performances have come over six furlongs, the five furlongs in this should not trouble him. Each way interests could be applied to both Inxile from the Dandy Nicholls yard and Triple Aspect who is trained by William Haggas and will be the mount of Ryan Moore.
Selection: JJ The Jet Plane @ 2/1 with Paddy Power or Ladbrokes
Meydan 1.50 – Godolphin Mile 1m
This could be a very competitive Group Two where the Barry Hills trained Red Jazz will likely go off as the favourite. He is the highest rated horse in the race but he has not won over this trip in the past, nor has he been on a Tapeta surface. One who has however is the Godolphin trained Skysurfers, who won over course and trip a month ago when taking the Listed Firebreak Stakes. That run will have put him spot on as Godolphin look to claim the race named after them.
Selection: Skysurfers @ 5/1 with Victor Chandler
Meydan 2.25 – UAE Derby 1m 1f
The third Group Two of the afternoon should see the Godolphin pair of Khawlah and Xin Xu Lin go off as the top two in the market, however this is a very open looking race, where strong challenges can be expected from the Mike De Kock trained Mahbooba, winner of the UAE 1000 Guineas a few weeks ago and who finished second behind Khawlah in the UAE Oaks on 24th February. There is also two entries from Ballydoyle, Alexander Pope and Master Of Hounds, the latter being the highest rated horse in the race.
Selection: Khawlah @ 4/1 with Bet365
Meydan 3.05 – Golden Shaheen 6f
The first Group One race of the afternoon should produce a cracking contest and which could see Kinsale King take the race for the second successive year for Carl O’Callaghan. However the favourite will be Rocket Man, who was second behind Kinsale King 12 months ago and who has never finished outside of the first two in any of his 17 starts.
Selection: Rocket Man @ 7/4 with Coral
Meydan 3.45 – The Dubai Duty Free 1m1f
With Wigmore Hall representing the Michael Bell stable and Presvis trained by Luca Cumani looking likely to dispute favouritism, this Group One could be a very close affair, particularly as there are several others all in with big chances. Mendip from the Saeed Bin Suroor stable has won twice at Group Three level during the 2011 Dubai Carnival and is in top form, whilst Bankable won a Group Three over six furlongs as a warm up for his attempt to claim this race after finishing second last year.
Selection: Mendip @ 8/1 with Boylesports of Victor Chandler
Meydan 4.50 – Sheema Classic 1m4f
The penultimate race of the afternoon could see the 2010 Epsom Derby third, Rewilding, claim his biggest prize to date. Trained by Mahmood Al Zarooni for Godolphin, this four year old is certainly one of major the class horse’s in the race and will go off favourite, but punters should follow the market with regard to the support for the Japanese entry, Rulership, a Group Two winner in Japan and the Brian Meehan trained Dangerous Midge, winner of the Breeders Cup Turf back in November. There has also been market support for the Barry Hills trained Redwood.
Selection: Dangerous Midge @ 5/1 with Bet365 or Paddy Power
Meydan 5.35 – Dubai World Cup
The richest race in the world should see a huge effort by the Henry Cecil trained Twice Over to take the race and justify the place at the top of the Dubai World Cup odds and in doing so, get the Cecil yard off to the perfect start as the new flat season looms. Winner of the Round 3 of the Al Maktoum Challenge a couple of weeks ago, the 6 year old is said to be in top form and raring to go. He has been heavily backed and is now as short as 5/2 and will go off as a very warm order favourite. There has also been support for the Aidan ‘Brien trained Cape Blanco, winner of the 2010 Irish Derby, but who has only just arrived in Dubai and who has not been seen on track since finishing down the field in the 2010 Arc de Triomphe. Big runs can also be expected from Gio Ponti, Poets Voice and the Japanese entry Victoire Pisa.
Selection: Twice Over @ 11/4 with Coral

McLaren boost chances for Australian glory
The first Grand Prix of the new season gets underway this Sunday morning live on BBC from 6am, and Victor Chandler are offering some fantastic race specials.
In today’s practice the McLaren duo of Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button surprised everyone by posting the two fastest times. Despite their very public grunts of dissaproval with the McLaren car in the build-up to this Sunday the two Brits will have few complaints following today’s session. Victor Chandler are offering Hamilton at 8/1 and Button at 10/1 to win in Australia. The two drivers are available at odds of 6/4 (Hamilton) and 9/4 (Button) for a podium finish and Britain can also be backed as the winning nationality at 9/2.
The 2010 Drivers Championship winner Sebastian Vettel is the favourite with Victor Chandler for the Australian Grand Prix at 15/8 and is also available at 11/10 to start in pole position. Red Bull enjoyed a hugely successful 2010 season where they won the Constructors Championship by 44 points. They will no doubt want to continue their impressive form into the new season and you can back a Red Bull car to finish first in Melbourne at odds of 4/5. Fernando Alonso is well known for his fiery competitive spirit and risky manouvers on the race track and Victor Chandler have him at 7/2 to post the fastest lap this Sunday.
Mark Webber will be determined to make 2011 his year after crumbling at the end of last year’s campaign, whilst Felipe Massa will be looking to rediscover the form that saw him finish second in the Drivers Championship in 2008. After a dissapointing comeback last season where he finished ninth overall, Michael Schumacher will also be hoping for a vastly improved 2011.

Paul Nicholls is 9/2 To Train His First Aintree Grand National Winner
Paul Nicholls has done just about everything in the world of Horse Racing training apart from one thing, and that is that he is still yet to train a winner of the Aintree Grand National. Nicholls has dominated the world of National Hunt over the past few years but it has been the Cheltenham Festival where most of his success has come, that could be about to change though with Nicholls set to be mob-handed at Antree this season with two genuine contenders according to the Grand National Betting.
Bookmakers Bet365 believe that Nicholls could be about to end that drought as they are offering skinny looking odds of 9/2 about him training the winner, he is set to have four runners in the race with What A Friend and Niche Market the two main contenders from Ditcheat. What A Friend ran a blinder last time out when 4th in the Gold Cup and based on that performance he is well in at the weights and looks to be the class of the field at this stage, the horse is part-owned by Sir Alex Ferguson and at this stage can be backed at 11/1 to win the Grand National.
Niche Market likewise looks a major contender for Paul Nicholls in the National this year and he has the profile to run a massive race, he is a former Irish Grand National and punters can back him at 14/1 with Bet365 to win the race on his second attempt. Nicholls will be expecting those two to form the strength of his team while The Tother One and Ornais are more likely to have each-way claims for the Champion Trainer meaning that punters wanting to back Nicholls will be hoping either What A Friend or Niche Market can be successful.
